Hi! I recently shared a holiday gift guide on my blog and wanted to highlight a few gift ideas in this newsletter! I know there is no shortage of gift guides floating around the Internet, but I tried to make this one focused on tried and true toys/gifts that we own and love. I also sprinkled in some toys Lucy and Winnie have asked for this year!
When buying gifts, I try to find toys that can be used for a range of ages. Many of the toys in here we've had since the girls were younger and they still use all the time. We often try to find toys that the girls can play with by themselves (complex Lego sets, family games, etc. are an exception) and that spark imaginary play and curiosity. My 2024 holiday gift guide is broken into the below sections, and I’m highlighting a few specific categories (the ones in bold below) in today’s newsletter!
I think these gift ideas would be great for kiddos in the 3-7 age range, but again, many could work for younger or slightly older kids too.

OTHER IDEAS ✨🎉
THE BIG GIFTS!
Nugget couch - we’ve had this since Lucy was 18 months old and still use it daily
Toniebox - I feel like I’m always talking about our love for the Toniebox (a screen-free audio box that plays songs and stories), but truly, this is one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. You can buy the Toniebox at Target or Amazon.
Play Kitchen - we just got this one from Lalo and I can’t wait to set it up in our house! It’s currently $100 off!
Table and Chairs Set: The girls use this all the time. It's nice for them to have their little area for arts, puzzle building, etc. It’s also currently on sale!
Scooters - the girls both started on the Mini Scooter (for ages 2-5) and now have the Maxi Scooter (ages 5+).
Bike - Our girls have Guardian Bikes! 10/10 recommend.
ARTS & CRAFTS
Lucy and Winnie draw and color daily, so we are constantly restocking art supplies! I always have ‘regular’ markers and crayons available, but for Christmas, I usually add in some fancier pens and markers (like these Magic Marker Pens and Watercolor Gel Crayons). Here are a few other arts and crafts gift ideas…
Bead Kit: There are lots of inexpensive options on Amazon. Here’s a super cute one with a customizable carrying case!
MONDO LLAMA ART KITS: Target’s Mondo Llama line has so many great arts and crafts kits at a great price point. These are always a hit with Lucy and Winnie! Here are a few: Jungle Bucket of Arts & Crafts, $5 Paint Your Rainbow Kit, Rad Rainbow Craft Kit
Sticker Books: Paint By Sticker Books / Melissa & Doug Reusable Sticker Books (Large Size) & Melissa & Doug Puffy Sticker Books
BLOCKS & BUILDING
The girls both LOVE LEGOs! In particular, they love LEGO Friends sets. A few LEGO sets we’re eyeing for the holidays… Gabby’s Dollhouse (for Winnie), Olly + Paisley’s Houses (for Lucy), Stargazing Camping Set, Castle Bed & Breakfast
Lovevery Block Set – we’ve had this for years and the girls still use it regularly!
Magna-Tiles – these are also used all the time at our house! You can often find off-brands at TJMaxx and Marshalls.
Mini Magnetic Tiles – I am going to be ordering a mini set of magnetic block tiles for the girls…perfect for travel and on-the-go adventures
KIDS MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS
Do your kids love getting mail like ours do? I have two ideas for you! The first is a subscription to Spark magazine, a monthly kids activity magazine for kids ages 4-8. It's beautifully and thoughtfully designed and filled with activities like hidden objects, color by number, maze, spot the difference, and more. Kids can understand and do everything themselves! 👏🏽 It's $8.95/month and you can order here, plus get your first issue free! We've also subscribed to Highlights magazines in the past and they're also great. The High Five magazine is for kids ages 2-6 and the Highlights magazine is for ages 6-8.
OTHER IDEAS ✨
Custom Photo Books - I make these for the girls after all of our big trips and they are OBSESSED. My personal favorite for photo books is CHATBOOKS. It's so easy to do right from your phone (via their app) and the book quality is excellent. You can use code LUCKYANDI20 for 20% off!
Jewelry Box (Lucy has this one)
Lava Lamp - Lucy saw one of these at Target and was so into it! I added this one (that she liked even more based on the colors) to her Christmas list
Kids Makeup (Unicorn Cloud Fairy + Enchanted Fairy sets)
Animals - the girls still play with animal figurines. Just this week, they played for hours with this unicorn set and this horse + stable set
Stomp Rocket Set - my mom has this and the girls LOVED it!
