Hi friends! This newsletter is (usually) a monthly-ish round-up of life things - what I'm enjoying, reading, learning, buying, doing, thinking about, and more. Today, I’m sharing some postpartum items I’ve been using since Daisy was born.
I have a couple newsletters coming soon, including a holiday gift guide for kids ages 3 - 7… stay tuned!
I can’t believe baby Daisy is almost TWO MONTHS OLD! Time is flying, and feels extra strange this year especially. Today, I wanted to share some postpartum essentials – cozy outfits, baby gear, etc. that has helped make my birth recovery – and overall adjusting to life with three kids – a lot easier!
NURSING SUPPLIES
I’m currently exclusively nursing Daisy! I did this with Lucy and Winnie and plan to do so with Daisy for a year or so. We will be introducing a bottle earlier this time around than previously (that’s a story for another day…) but for now, we’re solely breastfeeding.
Cooling Ice Soothers – this is my first time having these and they provided SO much relief, especially in the first few days as my milk was coming in. 10/10
Silverettes Nursing Cups – wore these regularly, especially in the first few weeks!
Lasinoh Nipple Balm – essential for me this time around, especially with (my first, very painful) nipple tear. Also doubles as lip balm for chapped, dry lips!
Haakaa Manual Breast Pump (and Breast Milk Bags) – I try to use the Haakaa each morning to catch milk letdown and build a freezer stash. It’s honestly amazing and so easy – I’m shocked at how much milk I have saved already!
Disposable Nursing Pads and Washable Nursing Pads – I was leaking A LOT and these helped me not wake up with stained pajamas every morning
RECOVERY SUPPLIES
I am a huge FridaMom/FridaBaby fan! I bought myself this FridaMom Postpartum Recovery Kit, but ended up using what they gave me at the hospital. They gave me SO much stuff and I just didn’t mind using them up. I will say that the Frida Mom disposable postpartum undies are far superior to the hospital undies and I wore these for several weeks. They are super supportive and comfortable.
WHAT I’M WEARING
I’m all about comfy, cozy clothes when postpartum (obviously!). This is no time for hard pants or anything too fussy. I want comfortable pants and need tops with easy boob access for nursing. I feel like clothes fit me a little different every single day which is a strange part of this postpartum season, but trying to just accept and embarce my evolving body and try to enjoy dressing the body I have right now. 💛 Here are a few things I’ve been wearing recently!Â
PAJAMAS:
STORQ Lounge Set – I LOVE this set. I wore it in the hospital for our Fresh 48 photos and have worn it at least weekly ever since. It’s a three-piece set that comes with a tank, wide-leg cropped pants, and a kimono-style jacket. I have the sage green color and it’s so pretty and SO comfortable. You can use code LUCKYANDI for 10% off your STORQ order
Short Sleeve Pajama Set and Pajama Set – have a few of these sets and wear them regularly!
DRESSES/JUMPSUITS:
Sweater Dress – this came new with tags in my Nuuly shipment and I ended up buying it! It’s SO comfortable and cozy. Note: the buttons are NOT functional, but it’s still easy enough for me to nurse in.
Modern Nursing Jumpsuit – this was generously gifted to me and is SO cute! Honestly, I pretty much hate the traditional ‘nursing top’ because they just seem frumpy and not super stylish. This wide-leg jumpsuit is NOT that. It has a modern, flattering cut, super soft fabric, and convenient nursing access without screaming ‘this is a nursing jumpsuit.’ 🙂
Dwell and Slumber caftan gowns – I’ve had three of these gowns since I was pregnant with Lucy!
TOPS:
Colorful Striped Long Sleeve Shirt – Free People vibes for a fraction of the cost
Oversize T-shirt – bought a couple of new oversize t-shirts from Old Navy and Zara and wear them with skirts, sweats, whatever!
Oversize Waffle Shirt – another great layering piece that I can easily throw on over any tank/t-shirt.
Henley Tank Tops – easy base layer to wear under any jacket/sweater!
BOTTOMS:
Wide Leg Elastic Waistband Jeans – a perfect alternative to sweatpants and leggings but still VERY comfortable and flattering with my changing body shape and size
Cloud Jogger Pants – have these in two colors and wear them all the time! /
Wide Leg Sweats – sweatpants that feel slightly more elevated. Wearing them as I type up this blog post!
Here’s what was in my first postpartum Nuuly haul!
BRAS & UNDIES
Here are the bras and undies I’ve been wearing regularly. STORQ was a brand I wore a lot (and loved) when I was pregnant/postpartum with Winnie, but LoveSteady is new to me and I’m VERY impressed with the quality and comfort!Â
UNDIES:Â STORQ Recovery Briefs, LoveSteady Support Bloomers, Quince Postpartum Briefs
BRAS:Â STORQ Everyday Bra (pictured below, image 1), LoveSteady Nursing Bralette (pictured below, image 2) , 2 Pack of Target Nursing Bras (pictured below, image 3), Nursing Bralette

MISCELLANEOUS
Babywearing: I love love love babywearing and so glad that Daisy enjoys it just as much as I do. There’s a few different types! When babies are teeny tiny, I love the Solly Baby wraps. I also have tried hope & plum’s baby wrap this time around and it’s so comfortable and soft! I was never into the more structured carriers with the other girls, but wanted to try them out this time around. I’ve been rotating daily between the Wildbird Aerial carrier and the hope & plum Lark carrier and both have been great! They are really comfortable and quick and easy to get on. E wears Daisy in the Aerial carrier too! I haven’t been using the ring sling carriers as much as I did with Lucy and Winnie, but likely will use when she’s a little bigger!
Diaper Bag – I decided I didn’t want a traditional diaper bag and have been using this purse as Daisy’s diaper bag! We keep it pretty minimal with just a few diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, and my water bottle for now.
Water Bottle – I try to keep water bottles in every room for easy access.
Electrolyte Packets – I’ve been SO thirsty and add these to my water regularly.
Hatch Sound Machine – we’ve had this for years! It’s currently in our room (where Daisy sleeps) but we’ll eventually move to her room when she moves over there.
Cali Chair & A Half Glider – my in-laws gifted us this beautiful chair and I’m obsessed!
Cortibalm Lip Balm—My lips were chapped and dry for several weeks, and this stuff was a lifesaver.
Postpartum Meal Recovery Package – my friend Megan is a Nashville-based chef and I ordered a week’s worth of healthy, nutritious meals from her. Everything is gluten- and dairy-free and it’s been so nice to know I have meals ready whenever I need them. This would be an amazing gift for a new mama in your life (or to treat yourself, like I did!).
